Design 1 – Step by Step Instructions

Step 1: Attaching Tassel to the Base Wire

You will need 2 same-sized and colored tassels to make a pair of earrings. Take any one of the tassels, a piece of wire, a medium-sized round bead and an earring hook.

Insert the wire through the top strand (strand kept for the hanging mechanism) of the tassel’s top (round part). Bring the tassel to the middle part of the wire.

Step 2: Beading & Adding Hook

Join both ends of the attached wire nicely. Insert the bead through both ends of the wire. Push teh bead all the way near the tassel’s top.

Now, insert the earring hook through both ends of the wire strands.

Step 3: Securing the Bead & Hook

Twist both ends of the wire firmly and coil it around the loop of the earring hook once.

Now, wrap the remaining wire around the wire’s closed end, adjacent to the bead. Coil the entire remaining wire nicely and tightly.

Step 4: Completing the Pair

Follow the above instructions to craft the other earring to complete the pair. You can use a pair of sharp scissors to adjust the tassel length if required.

Design 2 – Step by Step Instructions

Step 1: Wiring the Tassel and Beads

We are using mini tassels to make this pair. Take a piece of craft wire and insert the tassel through the wire. Bring the tassel to the middle of the wire.

Use small beads or seed beads for this pair. Insert the same number of beads through the wire from both sides. We’re using 8 small-sized round white beads, adding 4 to each side.

Step 2: Arranging the Beads & Twisting the Wire

Adjust and form a round shape with the beaded wire, keeping the tassel on the bottom-middle part of the beaded ring.

Twist both ends of the wire adjacent to the beads. Twist the entire remaining wire.

Step 3: Attaching the Hook

Insert an earring hook through the twisted wire. Wrap the wire around the earring hook’s bottom loop and then coil the remaining wire around it, between the loop and the end of the beads.

Step 4: Completing the Pair

Follow the instructions from above to craft the other earring of the pair. You can use a pair of sharp scissors to adjust the length or shape of the tassel if required.

Here are some tips in case you’re having difficulty making tassel earrings.
