Police Reports- JUVENILES ARRESTED Madisonville police arrested three juveniles who were allegedly stealing property at Sharp's Campers and Marine, 782 E.
Center Sunday morning. The police department received an anonymous call at 8:20 a.m. that a theft was in progress at the marine. Patrolmen Allen Workman and Charles Lundburg were dispatched to the scene. Upon arriving, they apprehended three juveniles, ages nine, 11 and 13, who were allegedly in the process of taking fishing equipment from inside the fence.
Entry into the building had not been gained. The three youths were taken into custody and later released to their parents pending a hearing in juvenile court. PAPERBOY HARASSED A Nashville, man was arrested for public intoxication Sunday after he was reported to have harassed a 13-year-old selling papers on South Main Street. has charged in a Jefferson Circuit Court suit that a contract which was to run until June 30 was broken when the Transit Authority of River City (TARC) announced it would cancel the contract March 26. TARC later hired another security firm, according to the suit. PATIENT DIES ANCHORAGE, Ky. (UPI) Jean Buckingham, 43, of Louisville, a patient at Central State Hospital, was killed Saturday when she was struck by a Louisville Nashville Railroad freight train near the hospital grounds. The woman was lying on the tracks east of Louisville when she was struck by the train before dawn, authorities reported.
Her body was tuken to General Hospital in Louisville, where an autopsy was planned. FARM LOUISVILLE, Ky. (UPI) Jack E. Biehn of Pendleton County has been elected to the board of directors of the Kentucky Farm Bureau, the farm organization announced Saturday. The 57-year-old Biehn is a native of Philadelphia and has been secretary of the Pendleton County Farm Bureau for 30 years.
Biehn has been involved in farming for 37 years. HIGHWAY By United Press International Kentucky Highway Bureau officials are looking at three possible routes to reconstruct Ky. 8 in the three-mile area plagued by a giant earth slide since 1973 between Bromley and Dry Crrek. One route would follow the existing scarred road bed while another takes the same route, but requires removal of millions of pounds of dirt, rock, mud and trees. The third route would lay the highway two-thirds the way 1 up the hill above the Ohio River, 750 feet above sea level.

Daniel, 66, 607 S. Madison was treated for a right leg injury at Hopkins County Hospital and released. Daniel was the driver of one of the cars involved in the accident. Passengers in a second car were also injured. Margaret Kingery, 21, Manitou, was treated for a knee abrasion and released from the hospital.
Linda Green, 15, no address available, was treated for a forehead abrasion and released from the hospital. The second car was driven by Rickey D. Kingery, 30, Manitou. The accident occurred when Daniel's car collided with Kingery's car at the intersection. Both men said they had the green light, Madisonville police said.

BURGLARIES REPORTED A Madisonville insurance office was ransacked and more than $1,100 in office machines was taken during the weekend, Madisonville police said. Police received a call from David Dukes, an employee of Vista Kawasaki on Ramada Drive, at 6 p.m. Saturday. Dukes reported there had been a burglary at the Meridian Insurance office, also located on Ramada Drive.
Dukes told patrolman Allen Workman he had noticed several windows at the 1 insurance office were open when the Kawasaki dealership opened at 8:30 a.m. However, Dukes said he thought someone was working at the office, police stated. When he closed at 6 p.m., Dukes said he checked the insurance office by looking through the open windows and observed that the office had been ransacked. Madisonville detective Sgt. John Hall and Dwight Crook, the insurance office manager, were called to the scene.
