I have tried a lot of pizza crust alternative-type recipes, but this one is by far my favorite. It makes a firm, crisp crust that you can pick up and eat with your hands like a “normal” slice. My kids never even asked if there was a difference between this crust and their beloved Pizza Hut!
This is easy to prepare, and it is nice to have a pizza crust that is easy to prepare. Sometimes with regular pizza dough, it takes hours for it to rise, before we can prepare our pizza pies.
Ingredients:
1 cup finely chopped cooked chicken breast (you can chop it with a knife but I use a food processor)
1/2 cup part skim shredded mozzarella cheese
1 egg white
Toppings (cheese, vegetables etc…)
Directions:
Preheat oven to 425 degrees.
Combine ingredients (chicken, cheese, and egg white) with your hands in a large bowl.
Press onto baking sheet that has been lightly sprayed with EVOO spray.
Form a flat circular “crust” shape about 1/4″ to 1/2″ thick. You can season the crust if you like, I added some dried oregano and garlic powder.
Bake for 12 minutes.
Let cool for 5 minutes before adding sauce, add toppings.
I chose grilled onions and chopped kale- the more veggies the better!
Lightly sprinkle with more mozzarella cheese.
Bake for an additional 5 minutes or until cheese is melted.
Enjoy!

I made this but I have a question about the amount of chicken. Is the one cup the same for chopped and food processor shredded?

(Easy Chicken-Crust Pizza Recipe) This pizza looks and sounds absolutely amazing to me. My favorite pizza to eat is cheese, sausage, mushroom, & onion. I have been a big fan of that pizza since my teenage years many moons ago. Thanks for sharing this recipe.
ohhh kale. we seldom have kale here though. You have any more suggestions on what kinds of green vegetables we can use? This is something that my kids will eat.

Interesting. I don’t think I’ve ever heard of using chicken for the crust. I’d love to try to make this Buffalo chicken style.

Wow! This looks really amazing. Very timely since we’re decreasing our red meat consumption. It would be my first time to try making a chicken pizza. Thank you for sharing the recipe.

Easy Chicken-Crust Pizza Recipe seems tasty and fun to make. I love trying different pizza recipes for my family.
Pizzas usually don't take very long to bake, and the bake time is really to crisp the dough and melt the cheese. Raw meats — like sausage, chicken, or bacon — usually won't cook through in the short baking time, so they should be precooked.
Then, add all of the ingredients to make the chicken pizza crust to a food processor: the canned chicken, egg, parmesan cheese, garlic powder, and crushed red pepper flakes. Pulse until the ingredients are well-combined. Once the mixture is done, transfer it to the baking sheet.
(Don't put raw chicken on your pizza or it will not have enough time to cook through). I used that saved time to make favorite homemade pizza dough, but you could also use store-bought.
If you're baking the pizza in the oven, whether on a pizza stone or not, I always pre-bake the dough for 4-5 minutes before adding toppings, to make sure the pizza dough cooks crisp on the outside and soft and airy in the middle. Once you add the Pizza Sauce and toppings, return it to the oven to finish baking.
Of course you do. Parbaking, or partially baking the dough to its halfway point in advance can save you a ton of time on pizza party day. You just have to top it and toss it back in the oven before you want to sit down and eat. This is also a great way to get everyone involved in the pizza-making experience.
Pizza topped with chicken is pretty popular in the US. Meats on pizza are pretty rare in Italy. Definitely, you will never find chicken pizza. On the other hand, cured meats such as prosciutto crudo, speck, prosciutto cotto, salami, mortadella, etc.
Just as important as the first patting down of the chicken's surface, the final pat down of your meat after covering it with breading helps every piece of crunchy coating adhere. After coating chicken in an egg and breading layer, gently pat all sides.
Whichever you use, toss the cooked chicken in a little BBQ sauce right before layering it on top of the pizza; doing so prevents the cooked chicken from drying out.
Strategically poking holes in the dough creates little openings that permit air to escape while your pizza is baking. This prevents an undesirable puffing of the pizza dough, avoiding unwanted bubbles and preserving a superior texture for your final product.
You've got your dough as the foundation. Then your sauce. The cheese is the next solid layer. Then your toppings (after all, they're called top-pings and not bottom-ings), and then finally your garnishes like basil, pepper, fresh mozzarella, etc, after the pizza is cooked.
Using a pastry brush, roughly paint the garlic butter onto your pizza crust, garlic knots or bread dough. (If you use this garlicky treat on a pizza crust, brush it on after the bake to prevent the butter getting too hot and burning in your oven.)
Because pizza cooks at such high temperatures, it's tempting to just allow your toppings to cook directly on the crust. This is fine for most veggies, but never take the chance with meat. Make sure to cook all meats and even tougher veggies like broccoli ahead of time.
I just love being able to take something made earlier in the week and transforming it with ease (cause it's already cooked) for a meal later in the week. This recipe is just that! I grill up some BBQ chicken with sides one day and use the leftover grilled chicken to make pizza! It's so easy and comes together fast.
How To Add Leftover Chicken To Frozen Pizza. As we mentioned, the key here is starting with cooked chicken — not just because you don't have to do any extra work, but also because raw poultry won't have enough time to cook on your pie.
